«I don't have a philosophy. I have a camera.» (Saul Leiter, 1923-2013)
I love being out with my camera, observing my neighbourhood, giving emotions a shell in my photo and telling a visual mini story. That's mainly what photography means to me.
Meike Hanne Seele is an independent photographer currently based in Lucerne/Switzerland. She started as self-taught photographer and gained most of her experience through workshops. From 2010-2011 she studied photojournalism at the Swiss school for journalism (MAZ, Die Schweizer Journalistenschule) in Lucerne/Switzerland. Meike enjoyed very much being part of the Noorderlicht MasterClass 2013-2014, held in Groningen/NL.
Meike focuses on personal projects, which are located between documentary and art photography. She follows a strong interest in picturing her very local neighbourhood by concentrating on the silent sides of life and picturing the overseen.
